NVA Community,

When I first met Sohail more than four years ago, I was struck by his overwhelming passion for veterinarians, our hospitals, and NVA’s mission to be the preferred partner to veterinarians in service of providing the best care to pets and pet parents. Sohail’s passion and dedication has been apparent throughout his tenure, including through NVA’s significant evolution, rapid growth and the transition to our new multifunctional business team structure with a complete and fully dedicated support group.

I want to personally thank Sohail for teaching me firsthand about service, helping me discover both areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement, which we are beginning to address. The time we have spent together and the many discussions we have had have helped shape the direction and focus we have set for the company. It is with deep gratitude that we wish him well as he pursues new opportunities.

In Sohail’s own words, “I am incredibly grateful to have served the Associates of NVA that work tirelessly to build a special community committed to animals and the people who love them. Over the past eight years, I have seen the company grow tremendously and I take great pride in this. I am proud that the general practice business is in such a strong position, due to all of your hard work and unwavering dedication to our communities, and I feel it’s time to pursue my next endeavor and hand over the reins for the next phase of business growth. The entire GP Leadership Team has built a strong foundation for GP and I’m looking forward to seeing where the business goes with Janine as its leader in this next chapter.” During the next several months, Sohail will be an advisor, for which we are very grateful, and will help us through this important transition phase.

I am also pleased to introduce you to Janine Miletic, who will be stepping in as our next President of NVA General Practice. Let me take this opportunity to tell you a little more about her and explain why I think she is the right leader for our next chapter. Janine has an outstanding track record growing and leading large businesses with a national footprint, where key drivers of success were rapidly changing and shifting. She had to see those drivers, understand them and then lead and galvanize a multifunctional team and organization to develop and implement solutions that required reinvention on technical, physical and emotional levels.

You will find her learning-oriented, humble and fact-based, with an eye toward reinvention. Janine’s experience has set her up to absorb new situations and new knowledge quickly, then work collaboratively with all functions and stakeholders to define the best way forward and accelerate progress. Importantly, Janine is an animal lover who has volunteered with animal welfare organizations, was raised in a cat family, was a proud parent of two Westies, and is currently looking to add another dog to the family.

Her top priority will be to learn from all of us about our unique business and the veterinary industry, and to get firsthand experience in our hospitals. She will be on the ground over the next few months to get deeply immersed in our culture and business – learning from veterinarians, hospital leaders and support teams. She is as committed as I am to preserving medical autonomy across the clinics, working collaboratively across our teams, and promoting the values that make our community so special. She will also help ensure that our hospital teams have the service and infrastructure they need for continued long-term success.

The GP leadership and Steering Teams will work closely with Janine as she onboards. Both teams will also be available to help answer any questions you might have related to this transition.

Please join me in welcoming Janine to our community and offering a sincere thank you to Sohail for his enormous contributions to NVA GP’s growth over the last eight years. We have much to be proud of and a bright future ahead at NVA GP, Ethos Veterinary Health, NVA Equine and NVA Pet Resorts.

Sincerely,

Larry
