How do you show love for your clients and their pets?

How do you show love for your clients and their pets?

Love looks different at every hospital, but it's always felt in the extra moments we take, the thoughtful touches we add, and the care we show when it matters most. Across our hospitals, teams find meaningful ways to celebrate their clients and patients every day.

We asked hospital leaders from across Arizona how they show love for their clients and patients. Here's what they shared.

Celebrate every moment with joy and connection 🎉

"At Seville, we celebrate the time we get to spend with our pet parents and their fur babies. When it's time to 'go to the back,' my verbiage has become 'let's go on a field trip to the VIP (Very Important Pets) lounge!' Amidst the happiest and silliest moments, we also make a collective effort to call and check in on clients when we know they've recently had a surgery or lost a loved one. And it's rare to not find a card that needs to be signed in our break room. We show love by showing up—and with laughter, lots of it."

— Dr. Bethany Richards, Medical Director, Seville Veterinary Hospital

Tailor care to every client and every budget 🌟

"The number one rule we follow at Palm Glen Animal Hospital is that one size does not fit all. We have a wide range of clients, from small-time rescues to low-income families to those of abundant means. We tailor our care for each client's pet based on what that client can afford. Our veterinarians are always thinking outside the box to make sure each pet is treated with the highest standard of care—even if the owner can't afford all the diagnostics.

— Lori Freeman, Hospital Manager, Palm Glen Animal Hospital

Create memorable experiences from check-in to check-out 📸

"We show our clients and their pets love all the time. One way is through personalized touches—like signs with pets' names outside the check-in door, at reception with our doctors and techs, and on exam room doors. Our clients love this touch. They take pictures with their pets and the signs and post them on social media.”

— April Guin, Hospital Manager, Casa Grande Animal Hospital

Be there when it matters most 💙

"I show love to my clients and their pets by doing my best to be there when I'm needed the most, taking the time to really listen, and connecting in any way I can. Whether that's a quick laugh, a thoughtful hug, or adding a little heart to a patient's bandage for a special touch.”

— Dr. Janelle Campbell, Managing Veterinarian, Dove Mountain Veterinary
