NVA General Practice community proudly celebrates LGBTQ+ Pride Month

This June, hospitals across our community are celebrating Pride Month and the diverse contributions of the LGBTQ+ community. From parade floats to team celebrations to industry panels and networking, we’re championing belonging and inclusion at every level.

Here are some of the highlights:

NVA GP hospitals march in Buffalo Pride Parade

Three NVA General Practice (NVA GP) hospitals in New York—All Creatures Animal Hospital, Buffalo Small Animal Hospital, and City Creatures Animal Hospital—took part in the Buffalo Pride parade this month, cheered on by prideful pets and pet parents.

Their participation reflects NVA's commitment to creating a community where everyone feels welcome. As Katie Dinan, Hospital Manager at All Creatures Animal Hospital, said, "Whether you are clients or team members, fostering an inclusive environment encourages everyone to show up as their authentic selves."

NVA Support Center advocates for the LGBTQ+ community

NVA has several groups, including "Pride of NVA." This dedicated group brings together LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies for networking events, community lectures and educational presentations.

This month, the group is hosting activities ranging from a resilience presentation by Pride VMC industry liaison, Dr. Ewan Wolff, to a Pride Panel.

Supporting inclusion in our industry with PrideVMC

As a proud sponsor of the Pride Veterinary Medical Community (Pride VMC), NVA is committed to building a veterinary industry where everyone can belong and be themselves.

Looking ahead with pride

At NVA, we strive to foster a safe and welcoming space for everyone in our community and throughout the veterinary medicine industry, because we believe inclusive experiences and backgrounds make us stronger. We’re dedicated to boosting representation in the pet health industry.
