"From Textbook to OR Table: Anesthesia Confidence for New DVMs" is a half-day course designed to bridge the gap between what you learned in school and what you'll face in the clinic. Through practical and case-based lectures, you'll learn how to build safe, adaptable anesthetic plans for everyday patients — and the ones that keep you on your toes.
💊 What You'll Cover:
Drug selection, dosing strategies, monitoring, and troubleshooting broken down into straightforward, usable steps you can apply immediately. You'll also tackle brachycephalic anesthesia, work through interactive case reviews, and finish with a mock CPR simulation using RECOVER guidelines.
🎯 Course Details (July 16):
8:00am–12:00pm: Anesthesia Fundamentals: Equipment, Pharmacology, and Phases
12:30–1:20pm: Breaking Down Brachycephalic Anesthesia
1:30–2:20pm: Interactive Anesthesia Case Review
2:30–4:00pm: RECOVER CPR Guidelines with Mock CPR Simulation Lab
