Funniest Client Experience: I once was going to go into an emergency surgery for a dog. As I was talking to the owners and walking them through the procedure and what to expect, I included that we would be placing an IV Catheter. The owner looked at me in awe, surprised and impressed that we could place an IV in an animal! I smiled and replied, "Sir, that's going to be the least impressive thing we do for your dog tonight" and went on with my explanation. We both giggled a bit, which offered some levity in a very stressful situation. Fortunately, the dog did very well and went home a couple of days later.

Advice for new grads: You only have to do something for the first time once! If you focus on consistently reaching outside of your comfort zone by just 10%, you will be surprised with what you are able to achieve.
