Kim Adams
Kim Adams is an RVT, CVT, and LVT currently living in California. She has a BS in Animal Science with a minor in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from UNR (University of Nevada, Reno).
She has a special interest in behavior-centered medicine and has studied Ohio State, Iowa State, Minnesota State, and North Carolina University pain management, behavior, and restraint methods. She has a LSHC-S certification through Low Stress Handling University as well as her Fear Free Veterinary Elite Certification.
Kim is a RECOVER-certified instructor for Basic and Advanced Life Support and is a member of the CAVMRC- a state rescue organization that deploys veterinary volunteers behind evacuation lines of natural disasters to help animals in need.
She has a total of 29 years of experience in the veterinary field with 23 years in ER/Critical Care and critical anesthesia and is hoping to pursue her VTS in Behavior.
She has 1 husband, 2 kids, 3 cats, and 4 dogs, and does extensive pit bull rescue/volunteer work in her spare time. She’s also a classically trained pianist, D1 rugby player, boxer, and former collegiate swimmer.
