Kristin Freitas, BS, RVT, VTS (ECC): Kristin was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  At a very young age she discovered her love of animals and started dreaming of being a part of the veterinary team.  She majored in biology at the University of Oregon, Eugene.  While there, she volunteered at a wildlife rehab facility and started providing nursing care to sick and injured animals.  Upon graduation she returned to the Bay Area and started working in Veterinary hospitals.  She worked hard, earning her Registered Veterinary Technician License in 2003.  From there Kristin discovered her love of Emergency and Critical Care nursing, eventually earning her Veterinary Technician Specialty in 2014.  In 2018 she made the jump to training the next generation of Veterinary technicians and assistants, obtaining a certificate in Training & Facilitation from ATD in 2024.  Now she is one of the Managers of Clinical Learning & Development for Ethos Veterinary Health supporting more than 150 hospitals across the country.
